How does Isee Kits work?

Answering your frequently asked questions

Q1. What about insurance for lost glasses or  claiming on your property insurance for broken glasses?

A1.  There are accident insurance plans and property insurance that do cover lost, stolen or broken glasses,  but making a claim just for glasses is not financially wise.  Each claim will lead to increased premiums and end up costing far more in the future.   Under accidents such as car accidents or fires or thefts,  you can add the lost or damage to eye wear as part of the overall claim and still come out ahead.  Read your property and accident coverage for more details.

Q3.  How long will the Isee Kit last?   Is it durable?

A3.  The Isee Kit components are design to last beyond the life span of a set of regular prescription eye wear.  Optometrists recommend updating to new glasses every one to three years as needed due to changes in prescription needs.  The components used in the Isee Kits are made of materials that have been used for eye wear for years without problems.

Q2.  Can I install the Isee Kit myself instead of getting a trained installer to do so at a cost?

A2.  Yes, you can but please follow the instructions closely.  Isee has created the kits so that with a little care and the right equipment, you  can complete the installation yourself.   Please note that using excessive heat on the heat shrink,  label insert and the structure of your glasses can damage them.   It is for this reason,  Isee strongly suggests that you have a trained installer with the knowledge and correct equipment complete the installation.

Q4.  Will sunlight effect the Isee Kit components?

A4.  Yes, excessive exposure to sunlight and/or heat will damage the components of the Isee Kits.   If you follow the recommended exposure to sunlight and heat for your prescription glasses,  the components should be fine.
